Adam nodded his head. "Yes," he said. "I mean," he continued, "you ARE one of my first human friends and-" My best friend helped me get the day off, the little bee added in his head. "... well, I just wanted to spend some time with you. You know, getting to know each other more."

"I would love too!" Pony said excitedly, then she calmed herself, "Umm... a-are you hungry? I was gonna make breakfast after my shower."

"Breakfast sounds great," Adam replied. To tell the truth, he only had a bite to eat before he arrived. "What are you making?"

"Well..." Pony began with a smirk, "A special day needs to start off with a special breakfast. How about I bake a batch of homemade cinnamon buns?"

"That would be great!" Adam agreed. To tell the truth, he only had a quick bite to eat before leaving the hive. "How soon will they be ready?"

"Weeell... Twenty minutes, I think," Pony strode into the kitchen and mixed the ingredients together to make the dough. She mixed a gooey cinnamon mixture with chopped nuts and spread them onto the individual ribbons of dough. She rolled them up and placed them onto a pan that was soon put into the oven. She set the timer on and the buns began baking, "There we go."

Right now, one question was (mainly) on Adam's mind: What would they do for twenty minutes? Taking a breath, the bee asked, "So... any books you'd like to discuss?"

Pony smiled, "I just finished a book about bees actually. Would you feel comfortable talking about that?" She winked at him in a flirty manner.

"I... guess so," Adam answered. People actually write books about bees? he thought. "What's the title?"

"A Book of Bees," Pony replied, "I didn't really think it was a creative title, but... what else would it be called?" She shrugged, then remembered the incident with Fire last night, "Oh! Guess what? Right after you left, this nice girl burst through the door, mistaking me for an old friend. She told me that a nice old lady in the apartment complex she lives in is looking for a roommate!"

Adam blinked, confused by the sudden change of subject. "Really?" he finally managed to say. "Who was she? The girl, I mean."

"She said her name is Fire. She's really... quite odd, but she's also very friendly. She lives in the complex just by the park, so if I move in we won't be that far apart," Pony blushed after saying that last part, "If the old lady doesn't like bees, then I won't move in because I want you to visit as often as you want... I'm gonna go see her tomarrow." She finished.
As the cinnamon buns baked, she and Adam discussed the book she read. Pony was surprised to learn that many things in the book were actually not true, "Hold on... You're telling me that the queen does not take her position by killing the other young queens at birth, but is elected?"

Adam nodded. "It always gets a little hectic around Election Day," he explained. "Even weeks before it, all of the candidates go from section to section with speeches. In fact, one of the party's hasn't exactly chosen their candidate yet. It's between Hillary and Osanna this time."

Pony laughed, "No kidding! The human canidates are Hillary, Osama, and McCain!" They talked until the cinnamon buns were done baking. Pony got up to take them out of the oven and she applied the frosting that she mixed with a French vanilla flavor extract. The girl cut a tiny piece with frosting and set it at the side of her plate for Adam. She sat at the table, wearing a big grin on her face, "Enjoy, Adam!"

"Thank you," Adam said, accepting the little peice of the cinnamon bun. He took one bite... and his taste buds exploded (not literally, though). "This is amazing!" he said once he swallowed. "Where'd you learn how to make cinnamon buns like this?"

"I well... I just read a cinnamon bun recipe and... I made a few changes and experimented a little until I... got this." Pony explained. She smiled adoringly at Adam, blushing suddenly.
