"What would you like to do first?" the little bee asked his human friend, looking up at her with his big blue eyes.

"I don't know," she said,"Any ideas?"

"Well... I am pretty hungry. Wanna have dinner first?" Barry asked the florist.

"Ah, good idea. Now that I think about it, I'm starving," she said and headed to the kitchen.

Barry followed Vanessa into the kitchen and landed on the counter next to the stove, "You need help with anything?"

"Yeah, can you help get two cups and plates from the cupboard?" she asked and flashed a sincere smile at him while she rummaged through the refrigerator for something to eat.

"Sure!" Barry smiled and flew to the cupboard. He pulled the sought items one-by-one due to his small size. Once all the items were set onto the counter, he flew over to Vanessa, "Anything else I can do for you?"

"Ummm, how about fetch me a cutting knife?" she asked and pulled out a small cake from the fridge. It was decorated in white, pink, and yellow frosting, as well as beautiful frosting flowers on the rim of the cake. "This looks delicious"

"It sure does!" Barry chirped after returning with a cutting knife, "I can't wait to pollenate that." The little bee joked upon eying the frosting flowers on the cake.

Vanessa giggled and cut a piece for Barry. "I just bought it today. How does it taste?"

"Great!" the little bee replied happily and he ate more of his piece. Barry looked up at Vanessa and smiled, not noticing that he had frosting on his face.

"heehee!!" she giggled, putting her hand lightly up to her lips.

Barry tilted his head slightly in confusion, "What's so funny?"

She giggled again, then reached out her hand and gently wiped the icing off of Barry's face.

Barry's heart skipped a beat when Vanessa's finger touched his face. He realized that she had only wiped frosting from his face, "Oh, thanks." He said, blushing faintly.

"You're welcome!" Vanessa said. She smiled.

Barry smiled back and gazed deeply into her eyes, heart melting. He just sat silently, staring at Vanessa with a lovesick grin on his face.

Vanessa stared back, smiling sweetly.

They stayed like that for a few seconds, then Vanessa cut the silence. "So, what do you want to do now?"

Barry snapped out of his trance, "Uh.. we can watch a movie. Wanna do that?"

   "okay!" Vanessa got up from the couch. She walked around to the back of it. "What snacks do you want?" She put her hands on the back of the couch, relaxed, and let her shoulders go up to her ears. Barry looked back up to her, then pushed off the couch with his legs and hovered.
  "um..." he put his hand up to his head to scratch an itch on his head. Then Vanessa flashed a teethy smile. He whipped his hand down. "Uh, do you have popcorn?"
  "yeah! sure!" Vanessa went over to the kitchen, looking in some cabinets.
  "uh, oh!" Barry quickly flew after her. "And, do you have any... candy?" he questioned.
  Vanessa looked at him. Then she smiled and said, "pfft. Of course!!"
